Be rooted, if you wish to stay at the heights for long

kite1

Father is flying a kite while his little son is watching him carefully. After some time the son says, “Dad, please cut the string and free the kite. Because of the string the kite is not able to fly higher.”
Hearing this, the father breaks the string and frees the kite, with a smile!
The kid jumps up in joy seeing the kite dancing freely in the wind. Alas! To his dismay, soon the kite loses control and falls to the ground.
‎Holding the broken kite the child sits down, dejected.
Still with that lingering smile, the father sits down next to him and calmly explains. “Son, in life we reach a certain level of prosperity and then we feel that there are certain things in our life that are not letting us grow any further – like Home, ‎Family, Culture Friendship etc. We feel we want to be free from those ‘strings’ that we believe are stopping us from going higher.”
“But, remember son, going higher is easier than staying at the higher level for a long period.”
Never forget to hold on to the ‘strings’ that help you grow and fly high. Never forget that family, teachers, friends and culture are the strings that will help us climb the ladder of success and continue to stay stable at the heights we have achieved. Though we might feel they aren’t significant anymore in our life, if we break away from those strings, our condition will be similar to that of the fallen kite.
I’ve always felt that whatever good is in me or whatever I’ve achieved in my life are because of the strict guidance and discipline of my parents and teachers. As a youngster I too felt that my parents were imposing too many restrictions on me. But, time has taught me that howsoever big or successful I may become, being ‘rooted’ is of at most importance. I strongly believe that whatever virtues I have acquired, are all from my parents and teachers and is helping me to continue to be where I am…

Dear sir
Many thanks for sharing the valuable thoughts.
We wish to see you at the next level of entrepreneurs, like Mr. Ajay G Piramal. You have the potential to grow even like Warren buffet, Charlie T Munger. They still enjoy in growing their businesses, that is their service to society.

I request you to focus only on business development.
sir, you have the unique talent for that.

The coming generations will remember you not as a social worker, but as ‘The business emperor’ who made his own large scale business in Kerala, with an employment for 4000 employees, from the scratch.

May God bless you with peace, happiness, health & wealth.

with regards
ROMIYO T M
